Thanks to a new service inaugurated by the mayor today, Londoners can obtain free, unbiased advice on energy conservation and bill reduction.
Energy Advice London is provided by Energy Saving Trust that gives expert energy-saving advice to all city residents. A dedicated website provides homeowners information about lowering their energy bills, and renewable energy. A directory of local services assisting the city during the cost of living issue is also available.
Expert energy advisors provide over-the-phone guidance.
Local partners can provide in-home energy advice to those in most need. Including assistance with energy debt. Sadiq Khan, mayor of London, stated: “This winter, too many Londoners will be compelled to choose between heating and eating due to soaring energy costs.”
“Energy Advice London will assist Londoners in managing their energy costs while keeping their homes warm. But this energy crisis cannot be averted unless the government takes more decisive action.” Energy Saving Trust already administers several other UK-based advisory services. Including Home Energy Scotland and Nest in Wales.
Energy Advice London was designed exclusively for residents of all London boroughs.
Energy Saving Trust’s chief executive officer, stated: “The launch of this new service for London residents is an important milestone for Energy Saving Trust. At a time when more households than ever are suffering with their energy expenses. We applaud the mayor’s dedication to assisting Londoners and decreasing the city’s carbon footprints by promoting energy efficiency.”
