Insulation is one of the most cost-effective ways to cut energy bills, and
several grants can cover part or all of the cost for eligible homes. Here’s
what’s available now.

What’s available

The Great British Insulation Scheme offers insulation help
but is closing to new installations on 31 March 2026. The
Warm Homes: Local Grant supports
lower-income owner-occupiers in England, and the previous ECO4 scheme has now
closed to new applications. What you can get depends on your income, benefits
and property.

Get quality work

Poorly fitted insulation can cause damp, so quality matters. Use a
TrustMark-registered installer working to the recognised
standards, and make sure you get a written guarantee. Our
