You have 30 days to reject faulty goods and get a full refund.
This is your “short-term right to reject” under the Consumer Rights Act 2015,
and the 30 days runs from when you took ownership of the item (a shorter
period applies to perishable goods).

After 30 days

Once 30 days have passed, you’re entitled to ask for a repair or replacement
instead. If that repair or replacement also fails, you can then claim a price
reduction or reject the goods for a refund. And for the first six months, it’s
up to the retailer to prove the goods weren’t faulty — not you.
