The Boiler Upgrade Scheme gives a £7,500 grant towards an air- or
ground-source heat pump, or £5,000 towards a biomass boiler, for homes in England and Wales.

How it works

Your MCS-certified installer applies for the grant on your behalf and takes it
off the price, so you don’t pay upfront and reclaim it. It’s open to most
homeowners and small landlords replacing a fossil-fuel system, and the
property needs a valid EPC (with no outstanding insulation recommendations in
some cases).
