Action Fraud
Action Fraud is the national reporting centre for fraud and cybercrime in
England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Reporting a scam here helps the
authorities build a picture of fraud and pursue offenders. (In Scotland,
report to Police Scotland on 101.)
What it helps with
You can report scams, attempted fraud and cybercrime — whether or not you lost
money. Action Fraud doesn’t investigate your individual case or recover your
money, but your report feeds the national intelligence picture. To try to get
money back, contact your bank immediately.
When to turn to it
Report to Action Fraud whenever you’ve been targeted by a scam. Always tell
your bank first if money has moved.
How to reach them
Report online at actionfraud.police.uk or call 0300 123 2040. See our
