Report Fraud (formerly Action Fraud) is the national reporting service for fraud and cybercrime in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. It replaced Action Fraud on 4 December 2025, and the phone number stayed the same. Reporting a scam here helps the authorities build a picture of fraud and pursue offenders. (In Scotland, report to Police Scotland on 101.)
What it helps with
You can report scams, attempted fraud and cybercrime — whether or not you lost money. Report Fraud doesn’t investigate your individual case or recover your money, but your report feeds the national intelligence picture. To try to get money back, contact your bank immediately.
When to turn to it
Report to Report Fraud whenever you’ve been targeted by a scam. Always tell your bank first if money has moved.
